FAQs

What is included in the cost?

The price of the retreat covers all basis and includes luxury glamping accommodation for 3 nights, guided activities for 4 days (classes + workshops), an evening meal and breakfast served fresh each day and a personal journal to utilise throughout.

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing the basics for an outdoor getaway

Wellies, Trainers, Waterproof coat, Breathable layers, Socks.

Yoga wear/ Clothes you can move in.

But also, anything that will bring comfort to you (i.e. cushion/blanket, book, instrument, snacks etc.)

Yoga will mostly take place outside without mats, but you are welcome to bring your own - this grounding retreat is about reconnecting with the earth and nourishing the soul, stripping life back to basics and enjoying a rustic, rural experience.

For any workshops, all materials will be provided - you just turn up! :)

What sort of food/drink will be on offer?

Our is not a strict detox diet and we do offer meat. We will take into account any allergies/intolerances/preferences on registration and factor this into our planning.

But, expect one full meal each day, using local produce such as Westlands UK salad, eggs, meat and vegetables from local sources and Cotswold ingredients.

We welcome you to eat and drink what you please, as food is one the great, social joys of life! Therefore, tea, coffee and naturally made alcoholic beverages will all be available for you to choose or not to - the decision is yours.

Do I need Experience?

You certainly do not NEED yoga experience to attend this retreat. If you have been to classes before, AMAZING, but if you haven’t, no need to worry!

We are a friendly and welcoming community, open to students of all levels, adaptable in our practice and individual in our approach to you.

The classes we offer will include a range of disciplines, from vinyasa, hatha and scaravelli influence, to focused workshops, dedicated to particular aspects of mindfulness and wellbeing (e.g. movement, creativity and healing). These are designed to be accessed by EVERYONE at all levels and emphasise that this retreat is for anyone seeking to develop their practice, rediscover themselves, heal their heart, or just get away on a rural break with good company and entertainment… Whatever your reason, come along - we’d love to have you!

Where will I be staying?

We will be lodging in group Safari tents at Big Skies Glamping, with bedding provided and facilities including shower and toilet on site. This beautiful hideaway is nestled in the trees, tucked away just outside of Cheltenham, with Dunkertons Cider within walking distance and amazing scenery around.

Big Skies Glamping

Once all applications for the retreat are in, we will make a WhatsApp group and negotiate any travel arrangements that may be required, such as car sharing, if participants desire.

Who will be hosting the retreat?

Myself (Bethany) and Amy will run the retreat, both qualified and experienced yoga teachers. We will be your main port of call for any queries, troubles or concerns.

Additionally, we will have 2-3 guest instructors leading workshops to extend your yoga practice and offer mindful activities.

Will I have any free time?

During this retreat, you are free to attend as many or as few of the classes and activities on offer that you please.

This is not school, this is a holiday, an escape, and time for YOU. So, please - do at your Lesiure and take from this what is valuable/insightful to you. If you would like to get involved with EVERYTHING, you will still have plenty of time to relax, read a book and socialise with others, with downtime factored into the schedule.

In the evenings, we will come together as a group, to eat round a campfire, chatter and reflect on the day - although this is NOT compulsory and there is no expectation on you for anything. We love chill vibes, so as long as you’re happy, we are too! :)
